Sustainability in Education - The Educators' Summit 2020

5th November 2020

This Spotlight invites global players from across academia and the fashion industry to discuss and explore the role of education in the shift towards a sustainable and circular fashion industry. In particular, this years summit will explore and outline the potential for establishing a Fashion Alliance for Circular Education (FACE), whose collective aim it is to develop the necessary mindset, partnerships and skills for the next generation, by showcasing, sharing and accelerating the circular and sustainable research, tools and curriculum of fashion schools globally.

Fashion has boomed on a model of mass-production that prioritises profit over social and sustainable responsibility. But as supply chains, and their injustices, become more transparent, the consumer demands change. Change can only occur when the right leaders, policy and visionaries are in place.
